The reservoir is quickly dropping down to the flood control pool. At current water levels the only boat access should be the low water ramp at French Gulch, but mud can be a problem in early fall at this location. Hart-tish is closed for the winter.
Applegate Reservoir is stocked with rainbow trout and both largemouth and smallmouth bass are available. Surface temperatures have cooled to 62 degrees F with the recent weather. Fishing for smallmouth bass should still be good.
