All of the north coast rivers blew out this past weekend. The Nehalem is usually one of the last to clear, and may be blown out for a while. That said the North Fork Nehalem should be coming into shape by mid-week and there should be fall Chinook and hatchery coho available. Bobber fishing or drift fishing bait, throwing spinners, twitching jigs (for coho) are all good techniques.
Anglers are reminded that there is NO wild coho retention in the rivers and bays this year, and that two rods are prohibited on all coastal rivers, tidewater, estuaries and bays.
