Fall Chinook fishing was fair to good following recent high waters, but slowed as the river dropped and cleared. Rain forecasted for this week should improve conditions and bring some fresh fish into the system. Bobber fishing bait, back-bouncing, back-trolling plugs or divers and bait, or casting spinners can all be effective methods for Chinook.

Chum salmon are present in the system now and are open for catch and release fishing. Fishing opportunity should be good if water conditions permit. Chum will hit jigs and flies if presented well, as well as more traditional salmon rigs.
