The Nestucca was flowing high this past weekend, and fishing was slow accordingly, but it is dropping into prime shape now, and should fish through the week. This is a great time of year to fish the Nestucca, as there are early run hatchery fish still around, as well as brood stock hatchery fish starting to show up. Float fishing jigs, beads, or bait, drift fishing, nymphing, and swinging flies or spinners are all good techniques. With the early hatchery fish, staying in the lower river and Three Rivers is the best bet.
