This is a great time of year to fish the Nestucca, as there are early run hatchery fish still around, as well as broodstock hatchery fish starting to show up. The Nestucca was fairly high last weekend after the rains, but as it drops into shape there should be fish available throughout the system. Float fishing jigs, beads, or bait, drift fishing, nymphing, and swinging flies or spinners are all good techniques. With the early hatchery fish, staying in the lower river and Three Rivers is the best bet.
