Fishing was slow on the Trask last weekend, with only a few fish caught. Rains are predicted Wednesday through Friday this week and should bring the river up a bit and hopefully give it a little color for the weekend.
This is mostly a wild fish river, although some hatchery strays are caught. Float fishing jigs, beads, or bait, drift fishing, nymphing, and swinging flies or spinners are all good techniques.
