Winter steelhead fishing continues to be good on the popular North Fork Alsea bank fishery. Expect more of the same this week as high water conditions have fish on the move and fishing should remain good on the NF Alsea bank fishery.

The lower portions of the river will be blown out again this week but might become fishable for the weekend.

As soon as we get a break in the rain the fishing should be good throughout the system as we head into February.

**Reminder**
No overnight camping is allowed in vehicles around the NF Alsea hatchery in the parking lot or on any of the roads.

The Alsea River receives two different stocks of hatchery steelhead, one “traditional” stock that is an early returner and peaks in December/January and a later returning wild broodstock that peaks January-March. These two stocks combine to provide winter steelhead fishing opportunities from late November through March.

Trout fishing in streams will reopen on May 22, 2020.
