Steelhead rivers in the Coquille Basin are currently high and muddy. A few steelhead were caught from the North Fork Coquille and South Fork Coquille around Christmas and New Year’s. Overall steelhead fishing has been slow in the early part of the season. The North Fork Coquille River will clear up first but the South Fork Coquille might not be fishable until next week.
