Fishing was fair on the North Fork Nehalem last weekend, before it blew out again on Tuesday. There are hatchery fish throughout the system, and wild fish (catch and release only) starting to show up.
The mainstem Nehalem is still blown out, and stays muddy much longer than other systems on the North coast. It will probably remain blown out for another week. Also, there are no hatchery releases into the mainstem, but there should be wild steelhead (catch-and-release only) throughout the system when the flows do drop.
