The Trask is high and off-color as of this writing; depending on how much rain we get on Thursday it may fish this weekend, although it will still be on the high side. It should drop into “good” condition early next week. There are Chinook throughout the fishery at this point. Chinook that came in early are probably getting dark and close to spawning, but there should still be some fresh fish coming through this month. The lower river is probably the best place to find a bright one. The hatchery coho run is all but over, with only a few dark fish still hanging around.
