Fall Chinook is winding down on the Wilson, but this river does get some late season bright fish. Numbers of Chinook will be low during December, but for those really wanted to get another Chinook or two out of the run, the Wilson is one of the better opportunities.
It’s a bit early for winter steelhead on the Wilson River, although we did hear a rumor of one caught already. All of our hatchery steelhead on the Wilson are from wild broodstock, and as such this run doesn’t really get going strong until we are into December and is at its mid-December through March.
