With a lack of recent rain in the region, water conditions are clear and steelhead fishing effort has slowed some. Though still a successful tactic, plunking may be a bit challenging in current conditions and bank anglers may want to try tossing a spinner or a fly. Boat anglers have had some success catching steelhead with plugs, side drifting, and bobber-dogging. Most of the steelhead are wild so anglers will want to check regulations before heading out. Anglers can only retain 1 wild steelhead a day and it must be 24 inches or larger.
