The rain this week should finally get the river levels to rise to more normal conditions and get more steelhead moving upriver. There has been a group of steelhead in the lower South Fork Coquille that should now be spread out through the river. Bank anglers should be able to find new steelhead moving into the North Fork Coquille River at LaVerne Park.
Trout fishing in streams and rivers will reopen May 22.
