Excess hatchery steelhead from the Millicoma Hatchery were stocked into Middle Empire Lake earlier in March If you catch one of these excess hatchery steelhead you may keep it as part of your daily trout bag limit. Remember trout anglers can only have 1 fish over 20 inches per day. Due to drought conditions at Bandon Hatchery, trophy trout are being stocked early into Empire Lakes this week.

Applegate Reservoir: Applegate received its first stocking of 5,000 legal rainbow trout last week
Applegate River: Trout and steelhead season close Thursday, March 31
Cooper Creek Reservoir: Cooper was stocked last week
Coquille River: The winter steelhead fishing season is still officially open, but the run is basically done for the season
