Floras Lake is a pleasant place to spend some time and unwind all year long. Usually there is very little wind this time of year and though the current water temperatures are on the chilly side, trout are still lurking in the depths.
Floras Lake is getting stocked with rainbow trout this week. Anglers could potentially pick up some nice-size holdover rainbows or native resident cutthroat trout. Casting or trolling with spinners, bait and bobber, and fly-fishing are all popular fishing methods for chasing trout in Floras Lake. Bank access is very limited and most anglers fish from a boat. The boat ramp is located at Boice Cope County Park.
