Boat anglers picked up a few early fall Chinook in the estuary. Anglers are reminded that the wild Chinook bag limit has been reduced this year. As part of the 2 salmon/steelhead bag limit per day, anglers can retain 1 adult wild Chinook per day and only 2 for the season. Anglers can look forward to a good hatchery return this year and few have already been caught.
The bag limit reduction is in place to reduce harvest on older age wild Chinook.
