Fall Chinook fishing continues to be slow on the Alsea but the river is still producing some nice fish every day. Fish will continue to hold in the estuaries until we get significant rain which is forecasted for the upcoming weekend and into next week.
Wild coho retention closed on Sept. 30 on the Alsea.
Trout fishing in streams closes on Oct. 31. Cutthroat trout are abundant and can be found throughout the Alsea basin. Check the regulations for open areas and gear restrictions.
