This river above Green Peter Reservoir gets stocked from late spring through the summer. The creek was last stocked in late July with about 2,200 trout.
After recent rains the river is up to 150 cfs as of Nov. 1, but with more rain on the way this will likely change. Conditions best for fishing are below 300 cfs. Trout fishing is open year-round, but fishing tactics may have to change. Drifting nymph patterns on a fly rod, or slowly retrieving lures sometimes work best in the colder months when fish try to conserve energy.
Light tackle including flies works best, but bait is allowed.
Trout are active year-round, and anglers are allowed to keep up to five fish daily.
