Winter steelhead are starting to show up in the Alsea. The popular NF Alsea fishery opens on Dec. 1 and the forecasted rain this week will have fish on the move headed for the hatchery.
Wild coho retention is closed on the Alsea for the remainder of the season.
Trout fishing in streams closed on Oct. 31 and will reopen on May 22.
