Winter steelhead are starting to show up in the Alsea. The popular NF Alsea fishery opened on Dec. 1 and the forecasted rain this weekend will have fish on the move headed for the hatchery.
Wild coho retention is closed on the Alsea for the remainder of the season.
Trout fishing in streams closed on Oct. 31 and will reopen on May 22.
