The Kilchis is a mostly wild steelhead river (catch-and-release only for wilds) and as such the run peaks January through March. There should be some steelhead in the system already, but numbers will probably be low.
Trout fishing closed in North Coast streams on Oct. 31. They will reopen May 22, 2023.
