Phillips Reservoir currently has about 12 inches of ice cover, and people have been fishing it near the Mason Dam boat ramp. We have had reports that there have been some good trout coming from Phillips recently, and anglers also can find perch through the ice. A quick look with a fish finder in about 30 ft of water suggested that some fish were holding in the lower 10 feet of water above the bottom.

The reservoir drained last year and is still quite low so anglers will need to walk down a ways to access the ice. Follow this link to see the Bureau of Reclamation website listing current reservoir levels.

Remember that tiger musky and bull trout must be released unharmed.
