Winter steelhead are throughout the Alsea system.The popular NF Alsea fishery is open and improving. This fishery has been fair over the last week. The Alsea will river level will drop over the next few days going into the weekend and conditions on the highway have been icy.
The later returning wild broodstock fish are being caught in the NF Alsea. Boat and bank fishing has been fair over the past week. Wild and hatchery steelhead have been caught and conditions have improved. With the colder temperatures coming into the weekend fishing may slow down.
Trout fishing will reopen on May 22
