Best bets for weekend fishing

• The Nestucca, Wilson, Alsea and Siletz rivers are still good bets for catching a hatchery winter steelhead. 
• April is a great month for Chinook fishing on the lower Rogue.
• Galesville Reservoir has had very good reports of anglers catching large numbers of holdover trout this week. 
• Anglers report good bull trout fishing and fair kokanee fishing on Lake Billy Chinook. 
• Winter steelhead fishing on the Hood River has been productive over the past week.
• Trout fishing continues to be good on the lower Deschutes from Maupin to Macks Canyon.
• Fishing can be productive this time of year on the Blitzen River -- even in high water -- using nymphs, streamers, and lures. 
• Krumbo Reservoir is ice-free and fishing for 16 to 18-inch rainbow trout has been good.
• Boat anglers have been out recently on Wallowa Lake and report catching both kokanee and lake trout.
