Howard Prairie is at 37 percent full which is more than at this time last year. We’re hoping to stock the lake this week, and the gravel ramp by the dam is open for launching small boats. Spring fishing can be quite productive by the dam with PowerBait fished a foot off the bottom.

 Many of the roads around the back side of the lake may still have snow on them and Jackson County park/campgrounds are still closed due to snow.
