Howard Prairie is at 48 percent full. Trout have been stocked several times over the last few weeks. . Spring fishing can be quite productive by the dam with PowerBait fished a foot off the bottom. Average size of fish checked since ice-off has been 17inches.
Jackson County park/campgrounds have started to open up. Boats can be launched on the concrete boat ramp at the main marina for the first time in several years
