Slow. Boat anglers have been trolling the bay for Chinook with limited success. The fishing will only get better through the month as this is just the beginning of the fall Chinook run.
The river is has warmed up to normal summer doldrums and is pretty much going to be slow fishing until the middle August or until water temperatures cool off.

Santiam River (South Fork): Currently flows are around 1,000 cfs at the Waterloo gauge
Emigrant Reservoir: Emigrant is 61 percent full
Howard Prairie Reservoir: Howard Prairie is at 48 percent full and on the drop
Hyatt Lake: Hyatt is 55 percent full and dropping
