Howard Prairie is at 47 percent full and on the drop. Trout have been stocked several times over the last few months. Bank fishing by the dam with PowerBait fished a foot or two off the bottom is usually productive. Trolling has also been very effective, as well. Anglers are catching both recently stocked trout and larger holdovers up to 20 inches.

Jackson County park campgrounds have started to open up. Boats can be launched on the concrete boat ramp at the main marina for the first time in several years. Small boats can be launched at Klum boat ramp
