Fall Chinook is open on the Alsea, but the season is beginning to wind down. With the fall rains we have been getting the fish have moved upstream away from the bay. There are still a few later fish coming into the basin, but most fish have moved upstream.‌

We are still getting a few reports of fish being caught higher upstream in the system with few reports of fish being caught lower. The bite has been fair But most of the fish will be moved high into the system and on to spawn. ‌

Fishing for wild coho is now closed on the Alsea. Coho increased their biting aggression in the last week of the season and we saw a decent number of fish caught throughout the season. ‌

Check the regulations before you head out this weekend!
