This urban lake usually gets stocked from about Thanksgiving through May. The rest of the year anglers can target bluegill and bass. It was stocked the week before Christmas with 1,500 trout.
Walter Wirth is a 20-acre lake located within the City of Salem's Cascades Gateway Park with good access all the way around.
