The release from the dam is 750 cfs, and the temperature at release is 43F. Reservoir outflow will continue to decrease as inflows are dropping and the fill season has started. The Applegate is currently open for trout and winter steelhead fishing. Only hatchery winter steelhead can be retained.
Winter steelhead fishing will take a little while to pick up on this river but with all the water fish should have started moving up the rivers and the best bets are the Hwy 199 bridge or Fish Hatchery Park.
