The Trask River is on the rise and may get a little off color by Friday morning, but if the predictions are correct it should be back in perfect angling condition by the weekend. There are no hatchery steelhead releases on the Trask, but wild steelhead are spread throughout the basin and provide good catch and release opportunity. The North and South Forks close for angling on April 1 to protect spawning fish and out-migrating juveniles, so Sunday is the last day for the forks. They will reopen on May 22 for trout season.
