The Lake is blocked by snow and is currently 33 percent full. There is a lot of snow this year so the lake might not be accessible until mid to late June.‌

Launching boats becomes particularly challenging as the lake recedes. There is no official concrete boat ramp with dock. Launching takes place from a sandy shoreline. Only small boats are recommended. You can also call Lake of the Woods Resort for updates.
