Howard Prairie is 46 percent full. The parking area at the dam was surprisingly clear of snow in a photo taken on March 20th. Check Trip Check and be careful of snow on the roadways, but anglers may want to consider a trip to Howard soon for some early season trout fishing from shore. All Jackson County facilities are gated and closed for the winter season.
