Updates for Rogue River, Middle

Rogue River - Middle - Grants Pass, OR (Josephine County)

Flow in Grants Pass is about 1,800 cfs with a water temperature of around 64F. ‌

Spring Chinook fishing has slowed but fish are still available as fish continue to move out of the canyon. Kwikfish and back bouncing roe have been successful techniques recently. A few more summer steelhead have been reported so fly-fishing or a Blue Fox spinner might catch one of those.‌

Anglers are reminded that trout fishing opened back up May 22. Only adipose fin clipped rainbow trout may be retained. All wild rainbow and cutthroat trout must be released unharmed. Consult the fishing regulations for more information. ‌

Current flow, temp and turbidity conditions for the Rogue can be found at the USGS stream gauges here, or checking the City of Grants Pass water page's river data here.
