CAMPBELL RESERVOIRredband trout, largemouth bass, white and black crappie, bluegill‌

BLM, ODFW, and BOR stocked a total of 431 crappie in April ranging in size from 8 to 14 inches. ‌

Catch rates for largemouth bass and bluegill should be very good this week with hot weather. The reservoir was dry in summer of 2022. All fish perished. ODFW and BLM have stocked many size classes of largemouth bass and a few crappie in 2023. Catch-and-release is encouraged to allow for establishment of fish populations. There might also be a few redband trout around. The reservoir is about 50 percent full. ‌

There is no boat ramp on the reservoir that occurs on public property. Most of the reservoir sits on private property. You can park close to the water and haul a small boat to water's edge on BLM property. Water is slightly turbid but better water clarity than most desert reservoirs.
