Yesterday we got limits on a great variety of really nice size Rockfish.  The Ling bite was off a bit as we were 6 short of limits for all 16 anglers.  The 2 previous days were spectacular on Lings with quite a few giants. 

The fish in the picture is a Copper Rockfish.  They are known for their super mild, sweet, firm filets.  They are part of the Sea Perch family but you would never know it from the size of some of them.  Like all of our Rockfish and Lingcod out of Depoe Bay we have never met one we didn't like!

We have trips started for Thursday Friday and Saturday with Saturday looking a little iffy for ocean conditions but it can change in a hurry around here.  Thursday and Friday look great.
