Winter steelhead are now spread throughout the system. Warmer temperatures likely have the fish moving. The Smith clears much faster than other rivers. Open for hatchery steelhead all year below Spencer Creek.
The area above Spencer creek to Sisters creek is open to hatchery steelhead through April 30. Trout fishing opens May 22.
