Fishing is generally best when flows are below 3,000 cfs. Flows are at 6,400 cfs at the gage in Waterloo.

 

The first few dozen summer steelhead of 2025 have showed up at Willamette Falls, but it will be several more weeks until they begin to show up in good numbers in the basin. Both hatchery steelhead and spring Chinook will begin to arrive in April. Bait is not allowed from Nov. 1 to April 21.
