Today was a good day.  We got all of our Rockfish and 2/3 of a limit of Ophiadon Elongatus(Lingcod).   Also known as a Bucket head or Buffalo Cod. 

They are one mean fish.  They are hostile feeders, so much so they even eat each other.  A lot of the bigger ones we get are latched onto another or even a Rockfish.  Otherwise known as a Hitchhiker or Hanger Ling.  They refuse to let go until their heads come out of the water.  Try to keep their heads under until we can get a net or gaffe on em like our buddy in the picture did today.  Easier said than done once you see the size of them.  He did a dandy job and has a bright future!

Friday through next week are looking really good ocean and fishing wise so let's go get some more!
