A steelheader shows off a bright Chetco metalhead caught while plunking a Spin-N-Glo on Wednesday.

Leonard Krug, steelhead enthusiast and past president of the Oregon South Coast Fishermen proudly hoists up two hefty hatchery steelhead caught on the Chetco River while plunking a size 4 Flame Chartreuse Spin-N-Glo on Thursday.

The bank of the Chetco looked like a porcupine last week as anglers lined up elbow-to-elbow and plunked their favorite Spin-N-Glos.

The steelhead fishing for Blair's Guide Service on Friday was very good for those side-drifting on the Chetco River. Four anglers each had one fish, with one angler tagging out with 2 steelhead.
