Spring run-off is here and brings with it variable flow and stream temperatures. Flows in the Blitzen River near Page Springs campground are 450 to 700 as of April 24. Recent rain-on-snow events have dramatically increased flows. Warmer weather followed by rain-on-snow will keep river levels elevated into next week. Water temperatures are in the mid-40s. Check this link to the Blitzen gauge.
Large streamers and other nypmhs work well on the Blitzen throughout the year. There are also various hatches that occur that anglers can take advantage of so keep a selection of dry flies handy.
