Fishing for steelhead in Tenmile Creek has slowed down with the lack of rain but anglers are still catching a few steelhead near the mouth of Saunders Creek at Spinreel Park and at the mouth of Eel Creek. Eel Creek is now open to steelhead fishing through April 30. Many anglers plunk near the mouth of Saunders Creek with Spin-n-Glos but fishing a jig under a bobber is also producing steelhead.
Trout fishing in the lakes is open year-round. A few trout anglers have started to troll for trout in Tenmile Lakes with limited success. Anglers will want to troll slow in deep water until the water temperatures warm up a little more.
Trout fishing in streams will reopen May 22.
