Hyatt lake resort, store and restaurant are open

Open water is available but the reservoir still extremely low at 18 percent full. Don’t expect much of anything for trout as last year’s low, warm water put a significant hurt on the trout. With the extremely low water, it was not stocked in the fall either. No reports on bass fishing yet, but the low reservoir also likely impacted them, but to a lesser extent than the trout.
Hyatt lake resort, store and restaurant are open. This is a great place to swing by and grab a bite to eat for mountain visitors. There are snow parks available in the vicinity.
The BLM campgrounds open May 28, and campgrounds can be reserved at Recreation.gov.
There is a Hwy 66 and Hyatt Lake Rd webcam that may help you if you are planning a trip. Also, ODOT trip check is worth looking at.
