Summer steelhead typically start to show up in the Siletz River in May. Things can still be slow in May but there are fish around to be caught. The river unseasonably high right now but conditions should improve as the river drops back into shape later this week.The peak for summer steelhead is June-August and continues to get better as we get closer to July. Steelhead fishing is open year-round on the Siletz River.
Trout fishing in streams will reopen May 22, 2022.
