Fall Chinook fishing had been slow but is starting to pick up. Fishing typically picks up in September as more fish move into the system waiting for some rain to move up to the hatchery facility.

Trout fishing in streams closes on Oct. 31. Cutthroat trout are available throughout the Salmon River basin and provide great opportunity for some summer/fall fishing
