The mouth of the river has remained open this year and a few Chinook have moved into the lower river. The low water closure is now in effect for upstream of the Hughes House boat ramp to the mouth of Crystal Creek. ODFW will be evaluating flows and Chinook distribution on a weekly basis to determine when to remove the low flow closure. Until rains arrive, the best salmon fishing will be downstream of the closure to the mouth. The bag limit for wild adult Chinook was reduced to 1 per day and 5 for the season.
