The North Fork Nehalem remains low and clear and will be at least until early next week. Fishing has been slow and effort has been light. Although most of the hatchery run on the North Fork is winding down, there are some wild broodstock hatchery fish available that will continue to come in through March and wild steelhead available for catch-and-release.
Conditions this week will be extra challenging with the cold weather we are expecting; cold water temps can make fish lethargic and less likely to bite.
