The Trask River is in prime condition as of this writing but will start to rise Friday night according to the predictions. There may still be a fishing window Saturday morning, although the river will be on the rise and will probably blow out by the end of the day. There are no hatchery steelhead releases on the Trask, but wild steelhead are spread throughout the basin and provide catch and release opportunity.
The North and South Forks should drop into shape faster, there are deadlines for steelhead on both forks so check the regulation and know where those are before heading out.
