The final two weeks of the season are here, and the weather is finally letting up. Anglers will have a chance to chase steelhead either from the bank or boat. This has been a pretty slow season overall due to the weather. Most of the steelhead anglers will find will be spawned out, but there are still a few bright fish showing up. This is a good time of year to fly fish or run plugs as steelhead are more aggressive with the warmer water.
Anglers are reminded that in addition to the combined angling tag an angler needs the Rogue South Coast Steelhead Validation to fish for steelhead on the river. Anglers should review regulations before heading out.
